Obituary

Born March 15, 1922, passed away October 9, 2020 in his 99th year. Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Armstrong). Born and raised on a farm near Buchanan, Saskatchewan and was one of 11 children. He moved to Toronto in 1943 where he met and married Mary in 1947. Laddie began working for Massey Ferguson in Toronto in 1946 and continued working for them in Brantford from 1964 until he retired in 1987. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family, playing violin, gardening, and was often the life of the party even into his 90’s. Active and energetic to the very end, he would walk to the nearby stores for his groceries, cook for himself, cut his own grass and shovel snow. Laddie will be loved and remembered by his sons and daughter Murray (Debbie), Gary (Yvonne), Don and Shari (Tim Biro), grandchildren Scott, Kevin, Jana Berry, Sheryl Dunphy, Sean, Alex, Sarah, Nicole Asztalos, David Biro, 9 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, family and friends out West, his many friends, and people that met him. Friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Please be advised that masks or face coverings are mandatory and social distancing protocols will be in place. www.tollfh.ca
